Our Mission

It is the mission of Methodist Children's Hospital Regional Outreach Program to improve the care of severely ill and injured children throughout South Texas.

We will strive to achieve this goal by providing quality education to health care providers caring for children, while emphasizing preventative aspects and patient safety. We will strive to serve as a community liaison for pediatric educational initiatives while collaborating with all health care providers, to initiate such programs in their communities.

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)- PROVIDER COURSE

Pediatric Life Support (PALS) Provider Course
The American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider Course (PALS) provides instruction in AHA guidelines for resuscitation of the pediatric patient in cardiopulmonary crisis. The program emphasizes demonstration and hands-on experience. Technical skills and cognitive processes are taught in small group sessions followed by practical application with simulated case presentations. Successful completion of a written assessment and skill station performance is required.

Nurses who complete the evaluation tools and attend the entire workshop will be awarded 13.5 contact hours

Course Cost: Physicians: $250.00 Nurses, EMT's, Paramedics, RT's and others: $150.00

Cancellation Policy: Full refund for cancellations made up to 1 week prior to the course. No REFUND for 'no shows' or cancellations made at less than 1 week prior to the course. Substitutions are allowed.
