Arrange a Transport

To arrange a neonatal/pediatric/maternal transport, just call our toll-free ONE CALL CENTER 1-800-277-7428. When you call, you will speak to a registered nurse in the One Call Center. They will gather some brief information and connect you with a neonatal, obstetrical or pediatric medical specialist for consultation about patient management in your own facility and/or transport. Some information that will be helpful for us to expedite the transport would be:

• Referring physician name
• Contact number
• Requesting facility/contact number/contact name
• Patient name/age/weight
• Reason for transport
• Pertinent lab/procedures
• Patient’s primary care physician

For Neonatal/Maternal Transports (in addition to information listed above):

• Gestational age
• Delivery type/complications

The referring physician determines the mode of transport. This decision can also be reached in consultation with the transport Medical Control Physician. Factors that may influence this decision can be related to patient acuity, weather and distance.
